DCCDA CACFP participants and other caregivers are invited to attend a Farm to Preschool class offered November 15th.
Here’s some info from the Sunrise Project folks:
Join Sunrise Project for a “Getting Started with Farm to Preschool” training. This class will give early educators an introduction to the concepts and benefits of Farm to Preschool or Farm to Child Care. Participants will learn about the importance of connecting young children to healthy food and showing them where food comes from, which helps shape eating habits throughout life. The different components of Farm to Preschool will be presented and the training will end with hands-on preparation of a recipe and discussion of how to include young children in the cooking process. A $15 suggested donation can be given by check, cash or card the day of the training. 2 Hours KDHE approved.
Tuesday, November 15th, 6:30-8:30pm, Dreher Building at Douglas County Fairgrounds (2110 Harper).
To register, email email@example.com. Please RSVP by Saturday, November 12th.
